Associationism 2.0

Goal:
To promote among civic associations the knowledge and use of the cooperative technologies that have grown among the so-called 2.0 technologies.
Motivation:
Citizen involvement has articulated its usual form among associations. At the same time, the political and citizen actions evolves more and more from net dynamics, as can be seen through citizen groups and their gatherings over general social interaction platforms (like Facebook) or social networks addressed to civic action (like Meetup).
Associations currently keep a traditional dynamic without any knowledge on the social networks mechanisms and dynamics, and by doing so they have disadvantages when facing other collectives that use the new relational and mobilizator resources smartly and powerfully.
Finally, new generations are more inclined to use this kind of social technologies. Therefore, associations are very useful to attract young people to the citizen compromise and activism.
Specific characteristics
Social technologies and their working methods, coordination dissemination and promotion knowledge would be expanded. Some of the social interaction platforms developed in the Citilab project of new collaborative information systems will be used as examples or use platforms.
