Conference cycle
Goal:
To accompany the dissemination actions and Citilab's communication and promotion service with conferences by people implied on the technological culture development and spreading.
Motivation
Like every culture, the technological culture has its references on people that incarnate its values and attitudes, and which are followed by the implied collectives. Through the on-going project exhibition or conferences and other participative activities to illustrate the experiences the lecturer brings, discussion and interest communities would be created. Therefore, that is another chance to create groups of diverse composition.
This activity is closely coordinated with the dissemination, promotion and communication held at Citilab and its main goal is to obtain a wide coverage both in traditional media and journalism and its extension trough on-line communities.
Specific characteristics
The conferences have a multiple dynamics. At the act itself, the lecturer is presented by a prestigious journalist who reminds the main points of the lecturer’s contribution to the technological culture and gives the floor to the lecturer. Afterwards, the journalist moderates the discussion and the audience participation.
However, this dynamic has already had its own life when the lectures programme and the on-line discussion have been published. The event is also the starting point for the audiovisual material and for contents for the diverse projects related to the cooperative contents creation and also as a practice of the audiovisual language.
