At DrupalCamp Spain there was no room at the inn. It has already been two years since Citilab was packed to the rafters for DrupalCon, a meeting-place for members of this community of users and developpers from around the world, and the level of excitement and committment established at the last meeting held in Barcelona, in september, was equalled.

A new Breakout, that makes 4!, is today, so that all of those people into breaking routine are mobilizing to rediscover alternative urban areas and explore new forms of co-working. On this occasion we are meeting at bar Borneo in the La Ribera neighbourhood of Barcelona.
Once again dozens of participants will be sharing a few hours and square metres to float their projects and be sharing experiences with the rest of a fluid day of co-working.

The nerves, shouts of support and faces straining with emotion which were present at the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) tournament in Citilab were present again last Sunday in Barcelona, amplified by the importance implied by being at a big Final for the whole country. Youngsters from 10 to 16 from all around Spain were concentrated at a centre for scientific learning in the city to demonstrate that they aret he most ingenious creators and programmers of mobile models built from pieces of LEGO Mindstorms and from many hours of dedication.

The project Expolab, a laboratory for creating new interactive and participative exhibitions integrating tecnology, innovation, science and design, has begun a competition for designers from all around the world.
The best design will finallly be erected in the exhibition space situated in the ground-floor at Citilab.

The walls of bricks, wooden tables, the reflections on the walls, the “citilabers” in class, the hundreds of chairs, the computers, each step and each column... Everything, right up to the smallest detail, of the structure and equipment at our Can Suris building in Cornellà has taken on a life in the virtual world turning stones and cement into pixels, ones and zeros. Citilab inaugurates its home on the web and opens a window on all manner of possibilities for interaction with this 3D virtual recreation.

With their faces straining with emotion and amid the deafening cries of support and shredded nerves, the young participants their coaches and families enjoyed a thrilling competition. A sporting challenge that left them breathless but which also had its dose of research and learning which for all those involved was success itself.

To the wide range of digital training-courses from Citilab we can now add one with real rhythm, that is set to make a big noise this year. MusicLab is already in rehearsal, which means that we can now talk about an eminently musical project from Citilab-Cornellà: a stable programme of music classes on-line - multidisciplinary and multiple styles- for all levels and all ages.

Oscar Peón, psychologist and coach in management techniques, amongst other areas, is giving a talk at the Auditorium of Citilab-Cornellà as part of the programme of workshops of Cornellà Creation Forum, unveiling the uses of NLP in organizational and business practices. The seminar brings together directors principally from the Baix Llobregat area interested in this type of tools have lately been shown to be very beneficial in the worlds of consultancy and business.

The Laboratory for Social Networks of Innovation (Lab-RSI) has opened until 29th January the period for registering for the second edition of the Associationism 2.0 training-course in design and running of virtual social networks. In order to formally register future students must complete the online form of the web for Lab-RSI and proceed to pay the matriculation fees.
